From Rivera's Groove Box #340: SlothBoogie - Acid Fantasy

Nice edit of the italo disco hit Plustwo 'Stop Fantasy' giving it some more oomph and uunnh boompty house beats action. The SlothBoogie crew is really good when it comes to making edits. Plustwo was a very short lived italo disco project because the record label went bankrupt and the band disbanded because of personal differences. Their biggest hit is know for the very early use of Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer, which became later know universally as the sound of acid house. It is a well known fact that the Italian disco producers were very keen and curious about the latest synthesizers coming out at the time in early 80s and utilized many gadgets other musicians thought of unorthodox and unnatural sounding, like the Roland drum machines.

Boom shaka laka, this is the sound of clunking garage house beats. Garage house makes my heart sing, I just love the warm electric keys chords and its twisted progressions. DJ Chupacabra is an italian DJ & producer who seems to know the recipe for how to put together a proper deep garage house track. Excellent old school vibes in this mother.

I'm glad I have digged the crates in the past, because otherwise I wouldn't have such gems in my record collection. While I buy less and less new music on vinyl, I still like to to dig the crates when I find myself at a record shop. This track is from the DJ Intertnational Gigolo label, which is run by DJ Hell. Sue M is Sawako Murata and I don't think she has been featured in many songs. At least, this is her only song credit according to Discogs. Chilling downbeat electro!

Krewcial is DJ & producer who started out with hip hop, but now is trying his hand in house music. He has released some proper tracks on labels like Lumberjacks In Hell, We Play House and Robsoul - which is impressive. I really dig this tune, it's jazzed up and has that nice soulful groove.
