From Rivera's Groove Box #335: Plastic Park Meet's Alexander Purkart - Music's Hypnotisn

Secret weapon alert. Vocals are taken from Raw Silk 'Do It To The Music', the backround music incorporates parts of Roy Ayers 'Running Away'. The sampling is done very well. Funky disco influenced house music never gets tired or old, gotta dig hard, records like this are a must in any house music lovers bag. I first got familiar with Alexander Purkart's productions with the 1999 Love Parade compilation. Good grooves.

From Rivera's Groove Box #334: Bella Boo - Do The Right Thing

Bella Booty, err... I mean Bella Boo is making deep house which makes you feel warm and good inside, and also makes your feet move to the beat. Her debut album is filled with gems like this track. Deep jazzy mystical. Is that Ornette Coleman's 'A Shape Of Jazz To Come' on the front cover? Nice.

From Rivera's Groove Box #333: Nørus - Make A Move

I get this track a lot in my Youtube recommendations. I must say, I quite like it. Good lo-fi house is not easy to come by nowadays, because the formula has gotten so generic and so many recycled ideas. The vocals are sampled from Beastie Boys 'Intergalactic'. Very cool.

From Rivera's Groove Box #332: Kings Of Tomorrow - Tear It Up (Lenny Fontana Remix)

Day go by, and already it is November. It has rained almost everyday, it makes me feel not so good. I listened to a lot of depressing music, mainly rock and a lot of Sonic Youth. Sonic Youth ain't really that depressing, but I can't say it's happy music either. This is stuff what can elevate and fuel your already existing anxiety and depression. It's hard to explain. The music is rocking, but it makes you feel not very joyous. So naturally I kinda drifted back to my happy place - god damn house music. I checked out a lot of Kings Of Tomorrow early productions, and re-discovered some gems I had forgotten. 'Finally' is my favorite deep house track of all time, but then I remebered, that 'Tear It Up' is almost as good track. The only thing I don't like about this remix is the generic disco-house drumloop, which seems like copied lazily from a stock loop library (this is really common in house music). But gotta love those catchy house organs in this track.
